Pierre Legras, son of Laurent Legras and Agathe Lhermite, was born in 1662.That contemporary of Louis XIV and Dom Perignon was wine grower in Chouilly. Pierre Legras should know the first White wines picked from that we call today Cote des Blancs, the grey and red still wines, and has seen the expansion of the sparking wine around 1695.
Over the centuries, Champagne took form and the place that we know today over the world. Since more than of ten generations, the house passed from gather to son, and the Vineyard grown up in selecting the best Grand Cru terroirs of Chouilly, in the Marne. Today it's Vincent Legras, who continues the story of the House.
