A masterful presence in the glass. Mighty and persuasive, this wine is Nature’s stroke of genius, which seems like a contradiction in terms. It needs a huge wineglass to hold it, as this is the only means for every tiny sip of its fiery greatness to be appreciated. Like a volcano.

Colour

Ruby red with an impenetrable heart.

Bouquet

Deep and composite nose of wild berries jam, laurel, cigar tobacco, liquorice root. The picture is accompanied by refined balsamic sensations of pine needles and damp foliage.

Flavour

The taste is elegant and, at the same time, very serious, almost riottoso, with tight tannins and an unexpected fresh lamina, without too many concessions to roundness and softness. The finish is very long and varied on the palate, with ample references to the notes perceived on the nose, but deprived of any fruitiness, so much so as to appear severe and extremely rigorous.

Vinification Vinifcation with prefermentative maceration took place at 5 °C for 10 days and was followed by fermentation carried out using natural yeasts for 7-10 days at a maximum temperature of 26 °C.
Ageing When malolactic fermentation is completed, the wine is put into barriques for 12-24 months, depending on the age of the wood.
