The Riserva comes from “Le Macchiarelle”, the oldest vineyard of our Estate. The structure, character and the complexity of this unique Riserva are the result of a combination of soil, exposure and the age of the vineyard.

Colour

Intense and vivid ruby red with light garnet hues.

Bouquet

Complex, elegant, rich of fruity smells of red fruit, plum, black and red berries; spicy with fresh and sweet notes integrated in thick olfactory texture; blond tobacco, grilled meat, white chocolate, white pepper, black pepper are finely integrated with the red and black fruit.

Flavour

Very intense impact, strong gustative character and personality; soft although with tense, mouth-filling tannins well integrated with a fresh acidity. Supple with a firm, complex and long aromatic texture. Very intense, fruity and spicy aftertaste with a persistent and fresh long finish.

Vinification Selection of the harvested grapes with three sorting tables. Destemming and crusching with fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks.The must is pumped over the cap repeatedly at a controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation takes places in the steel tanks for 30-35 days at controlled temperature.
Ageing Part in French oak tonneaux and part in medium capacity casks for a minimum of 24 months. Before release the wine is bottle-aged for a minimum of 6 months
