The color is deep ruby red, tending to garnet with aging.
The nose shows the typical aromas of Sangiovese, with great intensità.frutta red fruit, plum, sour cherry, hints of menthol. Taste: very balanced, hints of cinnamon, savory notes and balsamic persistent.
The taste is dry, warm, slightly 'tannic, robust harmonic and persistent. It 'a wine with a rich and strong alcoholic component, from 14% to 15%.

History Dry red wine, Sangiovese 100%, from our vineyards located in the municipality of Montalcino. Brunello is the "heart" of the Fattoria dei Barbi, we produce since 1892 and that for over a century has won accolades and awards all over the world.
Location Montalcino
Harvest Spring and early summer were rainy and characterized by temperatures below average. By contrast, the months of August and September with a hot, dry climate have led to optimal ripeness. The harvest began on September 23 and ended on October 13.
Temperature fermentation Ferments on average 14 days in steel tanks without ever exceeding 28 ° C, it is then aged at least two years in oak casks and four months in the bottle.
Vinification The grapes are de-stemmed pigiate- have suffered a sudden drop in temperature up to 16 ° C, in a protected environment of CO².
