Ruffino Brunello di Montalcino Greppone Mazzi 2018

Colour

Ruby red with garnet reflections.

Bouquet

On the nose, the impact is decisive, with notes of ripe plums, cassis and cherries in alcohol in the foreground. The ensemble of olfactory sensations offers an extraordinarily complex and elegant bouquet composed of fine and very sharp sensations of incense, accompanied by cocoa and sweet tobacco.

Flavour

On the palate, it has an important structure, with round and elegant tannins. The balance is excellent, and the aftertaste is decidedly long, characterised by notes of red fruit with hints of chocolate and sweet tobacco.

Pairing

Greppone Mazzi Brunello di Montalcino is a rich wine with intense and elegant aromas, suitable for pairing with tasty dishes with a strong flavour, such as lamb loin, seared duck breast with grilled mushrooms, or a first course with wild boar sauce. It is also perfect with cheeses such as Tuscan Pecorino or Taleggio cheese from Lombardy.
