This is the most important Fattoria dei Barbi's red wine, produced for over a century. In the Fattoria dei Barbi cellar, you can see a collection of thousands of Brunello bottles, starting with the 1892 vintage.

顏色

Bright, deep ruby red.

香氣/花束

Notes of ripe strawberry, rosehip, sweet spices, sage, aniseed and iris.

味道

Warm and open, balanced palate. Long and supported by nice acidity, yielding tannins and excellent structure.

Dishes rich in flavour include stewed red meat or game and grilled or mixed roasts. It also pairs well with tasty, well-aged hard cheeses.

歷史	Dry red wine, from 100% Sangiovese grapes, from our vineyards in Montalcino. Brunello is the 'flagship' of the Fattoria dei Barbi, produced since 1892 and has won accolades and awards worldwide for over a century.
Location	Montalcino (Siena).
釀造	The destemmed grapes underwent a sudden drop in temperature to 16°C in a CO2-protected environment. This cooling process of the grape skin allows for a higher extraction of the anthocyanin and polyphenol content. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in steel tanks for 16-17 days at a controlled temperature of 27-28°C without exceeding 28°C. After racking, malolactic fermentation takes place.
陳年	For at least 2 years in small, medium and large capacity barrels, bottle-ageing for at least 4 months.
