氣候 |
The beginning of the 2010 vintage was very peculiar. As a result, the first phase of the vegetative development started later than usual. A mild rainy spring was followed by a warm summer with only a few sparse rainfalls in August. With very few exceptions, the month of September was characterized by favorable weather conditions with good daytime temperature and fairly fresh nights. The grapes could ripen perfectly thanks to the ideal difference in temperature between night and day. Grapes reached véraison in the first half of August and starting from the last decade of the month, they ripened regularly. The grapes showed excellent sugar content, high acidity, well-developed phenolics that reached their final transformation with high levels of extractability. All these elements are very important for high quality products. Their peculiarities might be the characteristics of the products of an excellent vintage. It is considered an exceptional vintage.
